I saw this today on Facebook and couldn't contain myself. Balloons have a million different uses other than floating in the air, but this one is EASY and QUICK. Two of my favorite words are quick and easy ;).
I may have to try this tonight. A pack of dollar store balloons will become chocolate tonight!

DIY and Meetup
Last weekend - despite Nemo - I hosted my first Meetup for our new group, DIY or Die in NJ. Forcing the time to make something was definitely needed.
I think it's going to be a goal of mine to STOP pinning and START making!
Here is a peak at the glitter heart bags we made for Valentine's Day.

National Houseplant Appreciation Day!
Maybe it's because we are in the middle of winter that we should take a moment out to be thankful for our houseplants today. Or maybe it's because before we know it, Spring will be here and we will be planning our summer gardening. Either way I enjoyed finding this image from www.swallowtailfarms.com of their houseplant favor.
Herbs, plants, and flowers are all perfect favors or hostess gifts for the Spring. My favorite is to give some of the mint that my husband can't seem to get rid of in our yard. I don't mind though! When the windows are open, I can smell it everywhere in my house!

Simply Served Delicious - Mini French Toast!
There is no shortage of mini ideas for brunch. One of my favorites is this super easy french toast idea. One slice of bread gives you four of the adorable servings. Add a pinch of syrup to a small, clear glass or plastic cup and you are all set to go. No fuss, no mess, and you can hold it in one hand!

Face Painting for a Cause
Last month, I had the opportunity to participate in two Light the Night Cancer walks in New Jersey. I offered face painting for all the kids and adults, and in return I saw some serious love. I met one young girl that couldn't have been more than 7 come out with her parents to support a child in her school that had been diagnosed with cancer. Her face painting request? A survivor ribbon. But maybe the most touching was the group of boys that asked for Spider-Man faces with pink and purple ribbons, most of them for their moms. Their moms were there with them and were survivors of breast cancer among other things. These young kids have already felt the affects of cancer, whether directly or indirectly. Their bravery at such a young age is remarkable. They are more thankful to have their parents than most are at forty, and I can only hope to take a piece of that with me after being part of these two inspiring events.
